The primary mission of the 934th Airlift Wing Air Force Base Honor Guard Program is to provide professional military funeral honors for active duty, retirees, and veterans, who served honorably in the Air Force. The Honor Guard Team also provides a color guard for base and community functions.
The 934th Base Honor Guard Team was formed in October of 1999. It consists of one permanent member and several volunteers from various units on the base. The 934th Base Honor Guard augments Grand Forks, AFB and Scott AFB, for military funerals. The area of responsibility that the Honor Guard Team covers is the eastern third of North Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and the UpperPeninsula of Michigan.
